Indication 

MEDNOVA hemoclip is indicated for clip placement within the Gastro-intestinal (GI)  tract for the purpose of: 

1. Endoscopic marking, 

2. Hemostasis for: 

Mucosal/Sub-mucosal defect <3 cm; 

Bleeding ulcers; 

Arteries <2mm; 

Polyps <1.5cm in diameter; 

Diverticula in the colon 

3. Anchoring to affix jejuna feeding tubes to the wall of the small bowel; 

4. As a supplementary method, closure of GI tract luminal.

MR Conditional

The vitro simulative test on single sterile repositionable hemoclip demonstrate that, according to the ASTM F2503 standard, patients with one clip or multiple dispersive clips or even multiple centralized clips which not touch each other, could get safely scanned under magnetic resonance parameters as MR instructions.

Caution

If there are more than one of these clips in a single location in the body and multiple clips touch each other, the consequences of MRI scanning have not been adequately studied. We suggest performing MRI scan after clips getting off along with the connective tissues.
