About The SCO Traditional Medicine Forum
On November 30, the 2023 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Traditional Medicine Forum opened at the China (Nanchang) Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Innovation City. With the theme of "Inheriting Innovation, Unity and Collaboration, and Promoting High-Quality Development of the Traditional Medicine Industry", this forum deeply implements the important consensus reached at the 23rd Meeting of the Council of Heads of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, further leverages the advantages of traditional medicine, and deepens the Industrial cooperation should effectively inherit, develop and utilize traditional medicine to provide strong support for promoting the construction of a human health community.
Yin Hong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, attended and delivered a speech. Governor Ye Jianchun presided over the event, and provincial leaders Tang Yijun, Li Hongjun, Zhuang Zhaolin, Shi Wenbin, Liu Qiang, and Shi Ke attended.

What Happened on the forum
On behalf of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yu Yanhong expressed congratulations on the successful holding of the forum. She pointed out that the Chinese government has always attached great importance to the development of traditional Chinese medicine. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Traditional Medicine Forum has been successfully held for four sessions and stands at a new historical starting point. We will further carry forward the "Shanghai Spirit" and promote the high-quality development of the traditional medicine industry at a deeper and higher level. It is recommended that all parties strengthen exchanges and dialogues to lay a solid policy foundation for the high-quality development of the traditional pharmaceutical industry; adhere to technological empowerment and strengthen the innovation drive for high-quality development of the traditional pharmaceutical industry; optimize diversified supply and broaden the breadth and depth of high-quality development of the traditional pharmaceutical industry; Deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and create a good international environment for the high-quality development of the traditional pharmaceutical industry.
